How Taxis Work in Turkey
Official taxis in Turkey are yellow or turquoise, licensed by the local municipality. For city journeys a taximeter is legally required and starts at 180 TRY (opening fee) plus approximately 35 TRY per kilometre. For airport transfers and intercity routes a fixed price agreed before departure replaces the meter.
TaksiBul supports both modes: for city rides it displays an estimated meter fare before you book; for airport and intercity transfers it locks in a fixed quote at the moment of reservation. Either way, you know what you will pay before the journey starts — no surprise surcharges.
Book and Ride in Your Own Language
TaksiBul is fully available in Turkish, English, Arabic, and Russian. The app detects your phone language automatically; you can also switch manually in settings. Every screen — booking, driver profile, payment, and support — is translated and culturally adapted, not just machine-translated.
During the ride, if you need to communicate with your driver — 'please slow down', 'can you turn up the AC' — use the in-app chat. Messages are delivered to the driver in Turkish instantly. Our 24/7 WhatsApp support line handles English, Arabic, and Russian queries in real time.
Fixed and Transparent Pricing — No Surprises
One of the most common complaints from tourists in Turkey is arriving at a destination and being shown an inflated bill. With TaksiBul airport and intercity bookings this cannot happen: the quoted price is displayed before you confirm, and the driver cannot alter it. What you see is what you pay.
For city rides, the app shows an estimated fare range before departure. The meter runs as normal; our licensed drivers are bound by the official municipal tariff. There are no hidden 'luggage fees', invented 'night rate multipliers', or 'tourist pricing' — practices that unlicensed operators sometimes use.

Paying with a Foreign Card — and Tipping Culture
TaksiBul accepts cash, Turkish bank cards, foreign Visa and Mastercard credit or debit cards, and in-app payment. Adding your card before arrival is recommended: when the ride ends, payment processes automatically and you step out without fumbling for cash or waiting at a terminal.
Tipping is not obligatory in Turkish taxis. If you are satisfied with the service, rounding up the fare is the typical gesture — there is no expectation of a percentage tip as in some other countries. Leaving a star rating in the app is genuinely appreciated and directly benefits your driver.
Avoiding Unlicensed Taxis and Scams
Unlicensed 'korsan' (pirate) taxis operate near airports, tourist sites, and bus terminals. They have no insurance, no tariff obligation, and no accountability. Drivers may agree on a price and then demand more on arrival, or take unnecessarily long routes. Reporting them afterwards is difficult without identifying information.
With TaksiBul every driver's full name and licence plate are displayed on your screen before you enter the vehicle. At airport arrivals, your driver waits with a sign showing your name. You match the plate on screen with the physical vehicle before opening the door — a simple check that eliminates the most common tourist taxi scam.
Safe Airport Transfer to the City
TaksiBul's flight tracking feature monitors your flight number. If your flight is delayed, your driver is automatically notified and adjusts accordingly — no extra charge for the wait. This removes the stress of racing through arrivals hoping a driver is still there.
Meet-and-greet service means your driver stands at the arrivals hall holding a sign with your name. After a long international flight, being met by name in an unfamiliar country makes an enormous difference. The transfer price is fixed at booking time; you never need to queue at a taxi stand or negotiate with strangers.
Live Location Tracking for Peace of Mind
Every TaksiBul journey is tracked live via GPS. You can share a link with a friend or family member; they watch your position on a map in real time. This is especially valuable for solo travellers and late-night rides.
An in-app emergency button shares your location with designated contacts immediately. Because the driver's name and plate are on record from the start, you always have concrete information to provide to authorities or your travel insurer if something goes wrong.
No Language Barrier with Your Driver
Your destination address is delivered to the driver's phone in Turkish the moment you confirm the booking — you do not need to speak, type, or show a map. The driver knows exactly where to go before pulling up.
In-app chat handles mid-journey requests with automatic translation. If you prefer, the WhatsApp support channel is open 24/7 in English, Arabic, and Russian. You can also download the app before you travel, create an account, and save your accommodation address — so the first thing you do after landing is tap 'Book' rather than searching for Wi-Fi.

TaksiBul in Turkey's Most-Visited Cities
In Istanbul, TaksiBul covers Sultanahmet, Taksim, the Grand Bazaar, Bosphorus cruise departure points, and both Sabiha Gokcen and Istanbul Airport. In Antalya it serves the old city Kaleici, the beach districts, and cruise port transfers. Izmir, Bodrum, Marmaris, Fethiye, Cappadocia, and Pamukkale are all covered.
Intercity fixed-price routes are available across more than 80 provinces. Whether you want a day trip from Antalya to Alanya, a transfer from Goreme to Nevsehir Airport, or a coastal drive along the Aegean, the app quotes a fixed price instantly once you enter the route.
Download TaksiBul Before You Arrive
Search 'TaksiBul' on the App Store or Google Play and install the app before your flight. Registration takes under two minutes with a phone number or social login. Add your card, save your hotel address, and your first transfer is ready to book the moment you land.
If you prefer not to install an app, our WhatsApp number is on the website and available 24/7 in English. A team member will confirm your booking, send driver details, and follow up after the ride. Either way, a licensed, tracked, fixed-price taxi in Turkey is one tap away.
